Following the latest Tunac Audit conducted during the first week of August, for the monitoring of accredited methods and the extension of new methods, TTS is now able to detect traces of commonly used pesticides using accredited methods.

What do we mean by pesticides?

Pesticides are insecticides, herbicides, or fungicides used in agricultural cultivation or post-harvest to protect crops and harvests from pests, weeds, and molds, and generally to prevent deterioration.

Some pesticides are only permitted in certain foodstuffs in harmless and technically unavoidable amounts. To ensure food safety, specific legal provisions for different products must be respected.
